Overview
SSC GD recruits Constables (General Duty) in BSF, CISF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB, SSF, Rifleman in Assam Rifles and Sepoy in NCB. It is one of the largest recruitments for 10th-pass candidates.
Eligibility
- Education: 10th pass.
- Age: 18–23 years, with relaxation for OBC (3 years) and SC/ST (5 years).
- Physical standards: minimum height and chest (men) as notified, with relaxation for some regions and categories.

How to prepare
- Start running every day well before the exam – the race is where many are eliminated.
- Revise Class 10 maths and basic reasoning.
- Learn GK from simple books and follow current affairs.
- Take mock tests in Hindi or English as you prefer.
